This week, Sweet Pea weighs around 3 ounces and is between 4 and 5 inches long. Its tiny ear bones are now in place making it able to hear! The backbone and back muscles are getting strong enough to work on straightening out the head and neck more. And the face is complete with eyebrows and eyelashes. Still no fat yet and the skin is translucent.
My doctor's appointment yesterday went well, pretty quick again this time. They asked me how I was feeling and I asked a few questions. Then we got to hear the heartbeat with the Doppler - it took the nurse awhile to find this time, but when she did it was strong and in the 150s. Mom went with me and was so excited to hear it for the first time! Next time she's there we'll be doing the ultrasound to find out what Sweet Pea is!! One month from today!! I can't wait!!
Mom and Dad left today after a nice long visit. I was sick again this morning (I didn't eat my usual bowl of cereal before bed), and didn't feel too well today, so I came home and took a nice long nap and am feeling better.
