I’m sorry it’s been SO long since I’ve posted! It’s mostly because there’s been a lot going on but not much to post about! We’ve been getting ready for a busy weekend! Chris’ family came up from Birmingham Friday night. Then Saturday we had our own little Easter egg hunt for Caroline in the back yard. Gigi had given her a little basket with some toys and a new little outfit, so we got her dressed and ready to hunt! She even got some bunny ears and wanted to wear them – it was too cute! Reminded me of last year:
Here she is on her egg hunt – she was so excited and loved looking for them and putting them in her bucket. This year, she loves grass and wasn’t afraid to walk in it (even in sandals) like she was a year ago:
She even sat in it and played with her new-found “treats”:
On Sunday we all dressed up and made it to the early service at church to worship and celebrate our Risen Savior! It was such a joy to sing with a full sanctuary (and a full-of-baby belly!). We visited with our friends for a while after the service, then headed home to cook! We had a feast of honey-glazed ham, squash casserole, mac ‘n’ cheese, and pistachio salad. We ate so much we didn’t have any room for my crumb cake dessert! I hate that I didn’t get any pictures of the table or the spread, but we did take some family pics after church:
Chris’ mom made this beautiful dress for Caroline:
After lunch we visited with Chris’ family before they had to head back home, then we all crashed for a long and much-needed nap! Hope everyone had a blessed Easter!!
