Most of you have already heard about our housing situation, but I thought I’d give a little update for those who haven’t. Several weeks ago, we got our potential start date for demo and remediation of our Chinese drywall. It was set for November 13th, and was pretty definite, but not 100% sure until we got our move-out notice 4 weeks before which should be this week! SO, we’ve been looking around for a rental house and have finally found one that will do a short-term lease (4 months). Most places, including apartments, require at least a 6-month lease, so it was a little discouraging at first, but we finally found one that was willing to be flexible. It’s in a good location, not too far from our current house and close to work and Caroline’s school! God is good! We plan to sign the lease on it this week as soon as we get our final move-out notice.
In other news, I had to take Luke back to the doctor today. He had been having diarrhea off and on again for a couple of weeks and I started to suspect it was new allergies developing. Then he started waking up SUPER wet in the mornings and developed a bad yeast rash on his lower abdomen, so I decided to take him in for that and ask if we could see a different allergist. The pediatrician gave us a Rx for his rash and then ran some blood, stool, and urine tests to see if anything else was going on, like his sugar levels or any kind of infection. Everything came back normal, but she did refer us to another allergist to have more tests done. Poor guy was really upset when they had to bag him and then take his blood from his arm! Then we had to wait FOREVER for him to pee and he just wouldn’t! So after waiting an hour, we went to Wal-Mart to drop off his Rx and he peed, of course. So we went back to the doctor to drop that off, then back to Wal-Mart to finish shopping and pick up his Rx. And all that in the RAIN with 2 kiddos! It was a crazy day!!
