We’ve been really busy packing the past couple of weeks, but in between we’ve been having fun with the kids at various fall activities.
And sometimes, just playing in the leaves:
A couple of weeks ago, our church had its fall festival and we dressed the kids up headed across town. They had fun running around and playing on the inflatables. They also had a chili tasting/cookoff so that was fun too! Here they are as Caroline’s FAVorite characters: Dora and Boots!
We pretty much gave up on getting a picture of them together after most of them turned out like this:
Luke just wanted to run around and dance to the music.
She wanted to climb and explore and thought the music was too loud!
Then today Caroline’s school went trick-or-treating at some stores down the street. She wasn’t feeling well the night before and I was afraid she was getting sick and would miss it, but she perked up this morning and has been fine. It was a lot colder so we had to do the pants and long-sleeved shirt for Caroline’s costume and Luke was just too big for his! Good thing I had a back up costume from a consignment sale he could wear:
Tonight we just stayed home and answered the door to all the neighbors trick-or-treating – we figured the kids had enough candy! Caroline had fun seeing all the big kids in their costumes. And I packed! We’ll have most of our stuff moved to the rental house by this weekend, then the movers are coming Sunday to move the big furniture and we’ll be out! Pics of the new (rental) house coming soon!
