Then that Thursday, school started back and it was going to be Luke’s first time to go. He had gotten a little cold earlier in the week, but didn’t have fever and seemed to feel okay, so I sent him on! Here he is after breakfast with his new doggie backpack, ready to go!
He did okay in the carpool line during drop-off since he didn’t really know what was coming. Then he was a little fussy later in the day, but it was probably because he was hungry and had been used to eating whenever. I had a GREAT day to myself and got lots done while they were gone!
We had a low-key weekend and just went by our old house and let the kids run around. They were making good progress, but we noticed they had ordered the wrong size tile for the upstairs shower. Right after that, the tile guy came in so we were able to tell him before he got started laying it! There were a few other things to be fixed, but it was really looking nice!
After just having one day of school last week and 4 days in between, Luke was upset during drop-off that next week. But the other 2 days were great and he was smiling and ready to go! I think he just needed some time to get used to going and knowing what to expect. Then Thursday was pajama day, but Caroline woke up with congestion and really goopy eyes and since they were a little pink, so I decided to take Luke to school and her to the doctor. She was really bummed about missing school on pajama day, but the doctor said she needed to stay home for a day. It wasn’t pink eye, but just her cold or sinus infection coming up through her eyes, so we got some oral antibiotics and she’s been doing better. Luke had finally gotten over his cold from the week before, but then his nose started running again after school :(. They’re probably just passing it back and forth!
