Since Easter, we’ve been busy with a lot of little things. Here’s a “quick” re-cap in pictures:
Caroline’s International Day program at school:
Since she only did the hand motions and didn’t sing at her Christmas program, we’ve been encouraging her to sing this time. She knew all the words and would sing them at home, but we were afraid she’d get up on stage and not sing again. We told her she would get a “big surprise” if she sang, so she did! And she even did most of the hand motions! We were so proud and she was so excited to get this:
She had been talking about wanting a scooter for a while and I found this on one of my online yard sale groups. Since we are getting her a bike for her birthday, I figured it’d be fun to have the scooter a little early and with the Spring weather here, it was perfect timing! She loves it!
One night after going out to dinner, we took a walk around and saw the fountains:
One of Luke’s friends had a birthday party at a local church’s play room and it was awesome! I need to remember this for next year! Luke enjoyed pushing his friend around in the truck:
I got the kids some bath crayons and they have been a HUGE hit with both of them! Now if I can just keep Luke from coloring on the other walls!
Caroline’s “fire” and monsters (happy ones, of course!):
One Sunday afternoon, we took the scooter and wagon over to Big Spring Park downtown and the kids had fun feeding the ducks and wandering around:
This little guy likes to help me with the laundry; I’m enjoying it while it lasts!
And this little monkey likes to climb trees:
Then this past weekend, we went to the local children’s museum with some good friends:
Sweet girls!
That afternoon, it had warmed up and was a beautiful day to go to the Botanical Gardens. There was a new exhibit called “Giant garden, Little me” where they had huge garden tools and outdoor games, etc. to make you feel small!
Poor Luke started running fever while we were there, but he enjoyed it anyway! His nose had started running that morning and I thought it might have been allergies. But then he had fever for 2 days, so I took him to the doctor on Monday. He was fine that day, of course, and was running around the doctor’s office going crazy with Caroline. I’m sure the staff was thinking, “Yeah, lady, he looks really sick!” The doctor said it was just a virus, but I just wanted to make sure his ears were okay!
