We're back in Huntsvegas now, and I would say "enjoying the warmer weather," but it was cold and snowy HERE today! The snow didn't stick, of course, but it was neat to see it coming down.
This week in Caroline's world, she's almost a foot long and weighs more than a pound and a half! Her skin is turning pinker as small blood vessels are forming under her skin and filling with blood. Later this week, blood vessels will also develop in her lungs, helping them mature and get ready for breathing air. Her nostrils, which have been plugged up until now, are starting to open this week which will allow her to begin taking practice breaths (even though it's fluid, not air).
I had my O.B. checkup today and everything was fine. I did have to have some blood drawn to test my antibodies to make sure there's nothing wrong before I get another Rhogam shot in 4 weeks at my next appointment (see an earlier post about that). Also at the next appt, I'll have to drink the sugary stuff and get my glucose and iron tested, so that should be interesting.
