Ok, so I'm a blog neglector! I'm sorry to those of you faithful followers who check every day and see no new posts! I hope you understand I've been SO busy, but here's a long post!! As if having an infant to take care of isn't enough, I've been busy getting a new job. As some of you know, I had been waiting on my previous (for the past 3 years!) employer to let me know when they had a spot for Caroline so I could come back to work. Well, they just kept putting me off so I finally asked them to be honest and tell me if it wasn't going to work out. So they did and said I couldn't come back with Caroline unless I worked full time (or else paid the full price for Caroline's tuition) and the only position they had with infants was from 9am-6pm. And I just couldn't work until 6 every night! So I said "Goodbye" (but not without tears!) and started calling around different schools in town. Since I didn't think most places would give me a discount for Caroline if I only worked part-time, I thought I'd look for a mother's day out type job where they were only open for a half-day anyway. Well, most of those places started at 12 months, but the few I did find that accepted infants weren't hiring at the moment. So I took my resume' to other daycares & preschools around and one called me back for an interview. They were looking for a part-time lunch relief for their infant & toddler rooms that would be from 10am-3pm, just the hours I had before! And the place is only 5 minutes from our house! So I was offered the job & I accepted and will be starting training tomorrow! And they offered me more than 50% off Caroline's tuition, so that made it worth the effort! God is so good!! He provided exactly what I wanted, so I just hope it all works out and is a good place to work and have Caroline :)
Speaking of Caroline, she is 4 months old today and is growing and changing so fast! I think she weighs about 13 pounds now and is outgrowing most of her 0-3 months clothes. She is really interested in toys now and puts everything in her mouth. I think she's been teething lately (she's really been chewing on her fingers, instead of just sucking on them - see picture)

and I see a little white tooth poking out of her gums on the top. I thought it was a little early to be teething, and was a little surprised to see the "tooth" somewhere other than the "normal" place for first teeth on the bottom center. This one looks like one of her incisors on the top left coming thru, but I guess it could be a little cyst. We're going to the pediatrician in a couple of weeks for her 4-month check-up and shots, so I'll ask about it then. For now, we're just giving her teething tablets and hoping she's not in too much pain. She's been a little fussy and cries out in the night sometimes, but other than that she's been a happy girl!
For Labor day this past weekend, we headed down to Birmingham to see Chris' family and then over to Atlanta yesterday to see his grandfather and extended family, including Caroline's new baby cousin Jonathan. Caroline did great on the trip and was happy despite all the riding in the car and seeing new people. I'll post a few here, but look for the rest on picasa:
