Today I took Caroline to the doctor for her 4-month (finally!) check-up. She weighed in at 12lbs, 14.5ozs and measured 25.5 inches and the doctor said she was lookin' good! She's been a little congested the past week or so and running a low-grade fever off and on, but the doctor said her ears looked okay and it was probably just her teeth (and yes, she does have one poking out!) and a little cold. So she gave her a decongestant to make her breathe a little easier. She also had her 2nd round of shots, 2 in one leg and 1 in the other and the oral vaccine as well. She did much better this time and let out a big wail/shriek but calmed right down after I picked her up and held her for a minute. Then I nursed her and she went to sleep - not too bad!
We also talked about giving her some baby cereal, which I actually started giving her last week, but got the go ahead from the doc to just do whatever. Well, Caroline LOVED it! She slurped it up and was so funny with her mouth open and her little hands and feet just a goin'! And both our parents were here to witness the big event!
