War Eagle Weekend

Last weekend, the 3 of us made our way down to the "loveliest village on the plains" for a football game. It was Auburn's homecoming game against Furman, so we thought it'd be a safe weekend to go (i.e. we'd win). Plus, we were hoping by waiting until November that the weather would be nice and cool. Well, we were wrong about that. It was nice but it got hot! We all sweated thru the first half, but the second half was better once the sun went down behind the stands a little.
We drove down to Birmingham and stayed with Chris' family Friday night, then drove down with them to Auburn and back on Saturday. We visited Chris' brother Will who is a freshman at Auburn this year and he came to the game with us. Caroline did GREAT the whole trip! I was so pleased! Not that she was perfect, but was as good as she could have been! She nursed when I could nurse her, ate cereal during the game, and even took a 30 minute nap AT the game! I knew she was tired, but was surprised she could sleep through all the noise. When people would cheer really loud she would startle, but go right back to sleep. And she was so cute all dolled up in her Auburn gear. We walked around campus after the game and took a ton of pictures at the usual popular spots. Also, Caroline celebrated her half birthday on Sunday! I can't believe she's 6 months old already! She's been so much fun to have around and we are so thankful for her :) She's been through all the veggies now and we're starting on fruits. So far she's eaten them all! She is sitting up really well now but still not rolling over. Kind of odd to me, but I'm glad in a way because I can put her on the bed to play while I'm getting ready and know she's not going anywhere. I know it won't be much longer, but I'm enjoying it while it lasts!
