11 months!

I know I say this every month, but I can't believe our baby is 11 months old! It's almost her birthday and I feel like she just got here! Well not really, but time has passed quickly, especially these last few months. She's doing so much now it's hard to recount it all! Her latest (and greatest) feat is WALKING! She took a couple of steps last week but today it was a bunch! and we got it on video! Very exciting, but scary all at the same time! Other favorite things are waving (more on cue now) and saying "Hey" and waving bye. She still LOVES to say "Da-da" and "Daddy" the most :) She's very fascinated with fans (and loves to point up to them) and for a child who doesn't like to sit still, it's amazing that she will lay on the floor and stare at a moving fan for several minutes! She still loves her baby dolls and her bunny and likes to give them hugs and love pats.

In other news, her top teeth are coming in! You can see the one on her right for sure, but the left one is still in the gums. It's been a rough couple of weeks with this teething, but she's really been fussy off and on. Some days she's happy and eats and sleeps just fine and other days not so much. But she still loves her some food! I'm having trouble getting her to drink as much milk as she's supposed to have, but she's eating like a champ! She's on mostly table food now, so she's starting to not want her baby food, but that's fine. I mostly only use it for emergencies when we're out and there's nothing else she can eat. She had her first taste of cake and ice cream this month and she loved it so I'm hoping she'll enjoy it at her birthday party. Speaking of which I've been busy planning what I want to do for that - it's coming so soon! I'm thinking of doing a Care Bear cake (since that's our nickname for Caroline) and some cute one-year-old decorations (napkins, plates, etc.). I've ordered a Care Bear cake pan and I'm going to have a girl at work make & decorate it for me since she does that sort of thing very well and I do not! She also includes a free smash cake for the 1st birthday so that'll be good.
