She was doing great and was mesmerized by the pond and the ducks until she stepped off her blanket onto the grass - and she FREAKED! Didn't like the grass on her bare feet (or so we thought).
Then we had an Easter egg hunt at a friend's house on Saturday in the grass so I thought she'd do fine wearing shoes. She wasn't. She wouldn't even step off the concrete patio onto the grass at first (see pic), but we walked her around and kept praising her and tried to focus on getting the eggs and eventually she was okay. She still didn't like it and wouldn't sit down or touch it, but she managed to walk on it (holding our hands). Silly girl. An "irrational fear of grass" as Chris says.
Then Sunday we decided to take a day trip down to Birmingham so Chris' family could be with us on Caroline's first Easter. We drove down that morning in time for late church and then went out to eat with the fam and then took pictures at the Summit afterward. I'm so sad, but we didn't get a picture of just the three of us, but we got one of the whole crew and just the girls, so I guess it'll do:
Then we went back to their house and Caroline took a 2 1/2 hour nap - the girl was tired! When she woke up, she played with her Easter basket from Gigi and then we drove back home. What a weekend!! I'll post more pics on picasa when I get a chance...

Y'all look so color coordinated on Easter! What are the odds?
Ha! Ha! Jennifer used to freak out at the playground with sand - on her feet and on her hands.
Beautiful family pictures! I can only imagine what spring is like at this point since there is still snow in our yard. Surely these gorgeous pictures aren't taken with that little Nikon Chris bought in college?
Thanks! We are really enjoying the spring weather!
And no, we've bought a new camera since then (well 2 actually). Those were taken with our Canon Digital SLR camera.
