Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there but especially to my sweet hubby - you're such a great daddy and I love seeing you with our baby girl!

We had fun with Chris' family who all came up for the day yesterday. They enjoyed just watching Caroline run around and play with all her funny little antics :) Here's a picture of the fam:

Today, Chris and I celebrated after church (and a long nap of course!) with a big cookie dessert at Cheddar's restaurant. Very tasty!

Now that our parents have all seen it, I'd like to post some pictures of our house projects from a few weeks ago. We FINALLY decided on some new sofas! We'd been looking for probably 3 years now, but never could pick out something we liked. We had been using Chris' grandfather's old sofa and a loveseat we got for $20 off the ADTRAN classified ads. Both were slip-covered and I was SO tired of always fixing them and re-doing them, although it was handy to be able to throw them in the wash when needed. When we ordered the new sofas, we had to figure out what to do with the old ones. We wanted to take them both upstairs to have a living area in the guest bonus room up there, but the sofa wouldn't fit through the door (we tried!). So we just ended up donating the sofa and putting the loveseat upstairs, which did fit through the door after we took it off its hinges! Also, Chris had been wanting to put in a cable outlet upstairs so guests (and later children) could watch TV up there. Now was the time! I helped him do that, so now we have a nice setup for the guest room:

Now for the living room. We have such an open floor plan with only one wall in that room for the entertainment center, that we were having trouble arranging the new sofas. We wanted to do it a little differently than with our old furniture and this is what we ended up with:

Also, the valances my mom had made to go with the old furniture didn't match anymore, so she help me pick out some new ones. We also added sheers and new curtain rods. I'm not very good at decorating, but I really like how it turned out.
