We had a full day yesterday! Caroline had a birthday party in the afternoon for one of her friends from church. We arrived a little late after our naps, but got there just in time for birthday cake and food!
After food was present time! Allie really racked up on the gifts and Caroline enjoyed playing with the balloons and the tea set (our gift to Allie):
After the party we ate a quick dinner out then headed downtown to Santa’s Village. Chris’ employer ADTRAN had set up a private event there for the employees and their families. It was mostly outside and they had someone singing Christmas songs, 2 live reindeer, snow blowers (actually bubbles), and of course, pictures with Santa! Caroline enjoyed seeing the reindeer
and running around like a wild child, but after waiting in line for over an hour, she wasn’t too happy about seeing Santa. I’m not sure if they even got a decent picture, but we’ll see. She would NOT go to him, so I had to hold her and she was pushing away from me and wouldn’t look at Chris or the photographer. Oh well, maybe next year! We did get some cute pics of her behind these snowmen:
All in all it was a fun day and it gave us good reasons to get out of the house! We’re looking forward to Thanksgiving week and we’ll be heading to Jackson to be with my family. Tuesday is my 12-week OB appointment, so I’ll have an update on that later in the week (or next week!).
