Birthdays and Last days

We’ve had a busy week getting ready for some special events! We celebrated Chris’ birthday on Thursday with a family dinner at Cracker Barrel, then came home to eat cookie cake and open presents:

Then Friday was my last day at work and Caroline’s last day at school. It was bittersweet as I was glad to be done, but sad Caroline wouldn’t be having fun with her friends and teachers there. But we’re looking forward to hanging out together and playing with friends from church! Caroline’s teachers were so sweet and gave her a little going away party and gifts – a puppy and a baby doll/butterfly.  And I got these pretty flowers from my boss:

Then Friday afternoon we headed down to Birmingham for the night to celebrate both Chris and his dad’s birthday with his family. We had a good time visiting with them, then came home Saturday afternoon so we could be at our church on Sunday to help in the nursery. This week I’m looking forward to my days off work and getting ready to visit Sarah and Freddy in Texas on Friday! :)
