Caroline and I had a great time visiting my sister and her hubby in Texas! I was a little worried about being 6 months pregnant and flying with an active toddler, but it ended up going smoothly. Caroline did great on the planes but the hardest part was getting everything through security with the stroller and taking shoes off & on, etc. But we made it and even made our short connection, despite our flight being 20 minutes late because we only had to go 3 gates! And on 3 out of the 4 flights, we had the 2-seater row all to ourselves! God is SO good!
I wish I could have taken pictures of us (a spectacle!) on the plane or in the airport, but I didn’t have the camera or anyone to take it for us. But we did take some while we were there:
Caroline had fun walking in Freddy’s boots:
Caroline got to meet their three dogs for the first time and she LOVED them! She was a little scared and overwhelmed at first, and they were SO excited to see us, but they all warmed up to each other by the end of our stay :). The smallest dog, Sister, was Caroline’s favorite and she would ask for her every morning when we got up and she would pet her and give her hugs and kisses!
While we were there, we got to see where my sister works and where her hubby goes to school and works. It was fun seeing the town and where they go every week!
Caroline also liked wearing Uncle Freddy’s hat – it helped block the sun (sort of):
We also did a little shopping and LOTS of playing and hanging out! And two long FUN walks with the dogs – Caroline LOVED it and never wanted to go back inside!
On the way home, we were both really tired, but Caroline fell asleep on the last 10 minutes of the LAST flight! So I waited for everyone to get off and got her to her stroller and she woke up, but at least she had a little catnap!
I’m glad we went and had so much fun, but I’m glad I won’t have to travel pregnant with a toddler again any time soon! My next OB appointment is on Friday, so I’ll update soon after that!
