Chris and I decided with all this warm sunny weather we’d been having (and b/c of a SALE) that it was time to get a swing set for the back yard. Caroline LOVES to swing and slide, so we knew it would be great to have something for her to do outside, especially with us staying home this spring and with a baby coming this summer. It was a little tricky getting it home, but when we finally did, we got to work! It took us (Chris and me) several hours to put it all together, working during Caroline’s naps that weekend, but we managed despite missing pieces and a couple of trips to the hardware store! Here’s the finished product:
Part of the special/sale was getting a free infant/toddler swing to put on it, but they ran out and had to give us a rain check. So who knows when we’ll get it, but Caroline has enjoyed the big swings for now.
Despite the fun things we did this weekend, Caroline had been complaining of her ear hurting for a few days, and Sunday she was VERY cranky and whiny, so this morning I decided to take her to the doctor to make sure she was okay before we left town. She ended up having a double ear infection, so we’ll start her on antibiotics tonight. My parents are on their way here to keep Caroline while Chris and I go out of town for a babymoon! We’re SO excited to get away for a few days while we still can and while we have help! We’ll be going to Chattanooga and staying at a bed and breakfast until Friday. Then Saturday, some gals from my small group are having a baby sprinkle for me and baby Luke so we have a busy week ahead of us!
