The morning of Halloween, the kids had parties at school. Caroline’s class had theirs early, but I got to be there for Luke’s party:
Caroline had helped me make Halloween cookies the day before:
My little punkin’:
The weather forecast for this Halloween wasn’t looking so good. In fact, our neighborhood was rescheduling everything for the next night. Storms were supposed to be coming later in the evening so we decided to eat an early dinner and get an early start on trick-or-treating! It was barely drizzling by the time we got home from dinner and got the kids all dressed in their costumes, so we drove around the corner to some friends’ houses and walked the kids around to a few more. Then we drove back to our street and knocked on a few more doors. That was plenty for the kids and they got more than enough candy! So we came home and let them eat some of their spoils and then put them to bed early since they hadn’t napped that day.
Caroline’s Ariel dress had gotten a little torn during Hey Day last weekend, so she decided to be Sleeping Beauty tonight. Luke wanted to be Brobee again, so here they are!
