Later in April, I went with Caroline’s class to the Botanical Gardens on a field trip. We love the gardens so it was fun to go with all of her friends. Chris was even able to join us during his lunch break. We walked around the Children’s garden and then to the butterfly house. Then the kids played on the see-saws and swingsets before heading over to the sand box castle. We finished up at the hammocks before it was time for lunch. Lots of fun!
During Caroline’s soccer practices this Spring, Luke has enjoyed hanging out with us watching her, or running around with friends. Sometimes he would get a little antsy and we would go see the drain holes – he loved it!
Another fun thing we did was go to the splash pad with some friends! It was a little cool and cloudy that morning, so we played on the playground until the sun came out and it warmed up a little. It took Luke a little while to warm up to it, but the kids ended up having a great time!
It had been a while since I had gotten some good pics of the kids so I took the opportunity of matching outfits and backyard shade to try it out! They weren’t too interested in posing, much too busy with their sticks! But a little candy bribery may have been used in the end ;)
These are my favs!
We also spent a lot of time doing bubbles, baking (soft pretzels), and painting. Such fun days with these kiddos!
Chris and Luke both had bad colds over the Easter weekend, but seemed to improve after several days. Then Luke’s allergies really started flaring up with the pollen and everything blooming so he got sick again a week later. I finally took him to the doctor to get some relief and the antibiotics seemed to clear it right up.
