Luke wanted a Lorax party this year for his birthday, but it was hard to find Lorax stuff in the stores! So I had to get a little creative (and go to Pinterest for help!) and make my own décor. We had his party on Saturday morning and had a great time! Many of his friends and their siblings were able to come, as well as Chris’ parents.
After the party, we went to Chick-fil-a (Luke’s favorite place!) for lunch, then came home and opened presents:
After naps, we enjoyed a peaceful evening on the patio with Chris’ parents while the kids played, then ate dinner outside. The kids enjoyed playing with Luke’s new toys, especially the drill & tools and glider planes.
Then Sunday was Luke’s actual birthday, and we had donuts for breakfast and sang to him again:
Then we went to church and then to lunch with some of Chris’ parents’ friends at Carrabba’s. Lunch took a LONG time and the kids got a little tired and restless, but then the waitress brought out this for Luke:
He and Caroline ate a bunch of it and then Luke was done sharing so the waitress brought out another one for Caroline!
We finally got home and Chris’ parents headed home and we headed to the bed! After naps we went to a birthday party for one of Luke’s friends so it was fun to keep celebrating! We came home and opened Luke’s presents from us and the family.
The kids now have PLENTY to keep them busy this summer!!
So fun celebrating this sweet boy! More about him in the next post…
