But enough excuses, here’s what we’ve been up to! Summer started a little crazy with Luke’s birthday, then 2 weeks in a row of VBS. The first week Caroline went with a neighbor friend to her grandparents’ church so Luke and I got some quality mornings together. He started taking gymnastics again this summer and is enjoying it:
Then the second week was our church’s VBS and I was helping in the nursery so we all got to attend! Caroline enjoyed being a part of actual VBS this year instead of being in the nursery with an outing for music. Luke enjoyed his class, too!
It was just the four of us for Father’s Day this year so we found something fun to do that weekend: a Father’s Day train ride! It was a pretty warm Saturday so we were glad to be in the nice cool rail cars for a ride down the “country side.” The kids enjoyed it, especially Luke. Caroline got a little bored but had fun exploring the other cars. Luke was content to sit in my lap and enjoy the views!
Then on Sunday we celebrated this guy – so thankful for ALL he does! He’s the best!
The next week was a Frozen Dance Camp for Caroline. It was like a birthday party all week long! So fun! They learned a few ballet and tap moves to songs from the movie and also made crafts that went along with the theme. They even got a visit from Elsa on the last day!
The last week in June was spent mostly outdoors, whether it was the Botanical Gardens or the swimming pool or just having fun in the backyard!
Some backyard splashing!
And these sweet ones:
Stay tuned for July happenings!
