Much better

Caroline is feeling much better this week! She had her 9-month checkup and here's her stats: she weighed 17 lbs, 3ozs (40th percentile) and measured 27 inches long (45th percentile). The doctor said her weight was a little low, but it was probably from being sick and not eating as much and being so active. She wasn't too worried, but did want me to try to get her to drink more milk. Since she's still not nursing (I'm sure she's given it up completely now) and she's taking it from a cup, I can actually tell how much she's getting and can give her more.
We had Chris' family from Birmingham visiting this weekend and celebrating his birthday a little early. Here's Caroline reading with her Gigi:

Here she is with Aunt Carrye:

Here's one of her looking cute with a new hair-do:

And one with me in her cute outfit Gigi made:

We're experimenting with trying to take good pictures at home. To see our first photo shoot and to see other new pics from the weekend, go to our picasa site.

I'm so glad she's better!!! Don't feel too sad that she's given up the nursing. Some babies just do. My sis nursed her first two for a full year then the third was determined to quit at 11 months so she did. There was not a thing she could do. I hope the cup helps her gain back the weight. So glad things are going well!
