Trying New Things

I finally got brave and tried to put Caroline's hair up in pigtails again. It's hard to fix hair on an active toddler, and I used to do it on the changing table but decided to try it in the highchair. She did really well and didn't mind me messing with it too much :) So here it was a few months ago:

Her hair has gotten a lot longer since then (and it's even been cut once already!), so it was easier to do.

Also, here's Caroline with her new favorite obsessions: baby and blanket. She'll play with only these two objects for hours! She puts her baby "to bed" and covers her up, then she lays down with the baby. Then she'll get back up, uncover the baby and do it all over again! Note: the blanket is one from our living room that we got as a wedding gift, so it's bigger than she is!

We also got brave enough to go to the pool again this weekend. After Caroline's meltdowns at the other pools/water experiences, we weren't too hopeful, but decided to keep trying! We trekked up to our neighborhood pool, praying that it wouldn't be too crowded, and the baby pool was empty! We started slow and just put our feet in - the water was really warm, so I figured that would help. She didn't like it too much but once we got in and started playing, she had a blast!! Success at last!
