I had said in my last post that we were planning to move Caroline out of her crib by the end of March, right? Well, SHE decided she was ready for her big girl bed THIS weekend! We were playing in her room Friday night and she kept wanting to get in the bed, so finally I asked her if she wanted to go night-night in her big girl bed. She smiled really big and said, “Big girl bed!” Chris and I were like, “Okay, are you sure?” And she kept saying, “Big girl bed!” So we put the safety rail on it and took off all the decor from the headboard shelves and gave it a try. She slept all night and stayed in her bed even when she woke up! She took her nap in it yesterday and slept in it again last night with no problems, so I think we’re good! Here she is during her nap yesterday:
I wasn’t sure I was ready for her to be out of her crib, but she showed me otherwise! We’re so thankful she’s been so easy with big transitions (like doing well without her paci, sleeping wherever, etc.) that we hope this will be a good sign for how she’ll be when baby brother comes home!
We’ve been busy this weekend re-arranging and updating rooms. I had ordered a headboard that I had planned on using for Caroline’s big girl bed before I decided to leave her in her room. I didn’t really want to pay to send it right back, so I decided to put it on the bed upstairs. Here’s the new look:

Take a good look now because it’ll probably never be this neat again! And I’ll probably move some pictures around on the walls once we get her new dresser.
