Luke had his 6-month check-up today. He’s doing great and growing fast! Here are his stats: 28 1/4 inches long (95th percentile) and weighs 17 pounds, 11 1/2 ounces (60th percentile). He’s still really long, but thinning out a little. The doctor said he looked great other than having a little cold/runny nose. His throat was a little red so she did a strep test just to be sure, but it was negative. Then he got 4 shots (including flu) and an oral vaccine. He cried pretty hard, but calmed down after a few minutes. Glad to be done with shots for a few months!
He’s dropped the dream feed since my last post, so he’s nursing 4 times a day and eating baby food two times a day. Here’s his new schedule: nurse or bottle between 8:30 & 9, nap 11-12, nurse around 12 or 12:30, fruit and cereal around 1:30, nap 2-4:30, nurse 4:45, veggie around 6, nap around 7:30, nurse around 9 and then to bed.
We got Caroline a new booster seat for (early) Christmas so Luke could start using her old high chair that reclines for little ones. Here they are in their new seats:
I forgot to mention a few weeks back that we went with a bunch of friends from church to the Huntsville Botanical Gardens to see their Christmas lights display. On certain nights you can walk through instead of drive, so we loaded up the stroller on a warm night and had a great time. They even had Santa there to take pictures with, so we stood in line to see how the kids would do. Well, Caroline wouldn’t even stand near him and was shaking and crying and holding on to me. Luke, however, was fascinated and just sat there on Santa’s lap and pulled on his beard! (the kid loves to pull hair!):
At least we got one kid’s picture with Santa this year!
We decided to get a small Christmas tree this year and just do lights and Caroline loves it! I tried to get a few pics of the kids around it:
Luke has also starting sitting up in the last week or so:
I just love kids in their Christmas outfits!
More pictures are up on picasa in the December folder.
