Little Things, Big Changes

Well, a lot has happened since my last post! Luke continued to have fever for another day or two and Caroline actually got sick with a fever too and wasn’t able to go to school ALL week! Needless to say it was a L-O-N-G week! But, we’ve all recovered now and Luke has been sleeping through the night again and Caroline got to go back to school today – YAY!

Also, Luke started to crawl this weekend and really got the hang of it yesterday AND the same day his first tooth finally broke through!! I think that’s what was really bothering him after having the cold/fever. He’s done SO much better the past 3 nights and I’m so thankful for uninterrupted sleep!

Here he is looking for mischief with his new skill:IMG_7686

In other news, Caroline is doing really well at potty training, and I might even be close to saying she is “potty trained!” She has been wearing panties for over a week now, even during her nap, and has only had one accident (and that was when she had fever)! So I’m really proud of her, but we’ve been home a lot and the real test will be to see if she stays dry/clean at school this week.

She’s been saying a lot of new and cute things lately and I wanted to record a few here:

  • We’ve had a lot of cloudy days here lately and one morning it was really foggy and looked out the window and said, “What happened with outside?”
  • Then the other day she was playing with Luke and I heard her say, “You have to tell the truth, Buddy!” Like he can tell anything at all – ha!
  • Another time she was playing with her stuffed animals and was asking one of them, “What’s wrong? It’s okay, you can tell me!” I know she’s heard me say that :).
  • She has this beanie dog that’s she really taken to lately, but she’s convinced it looks sad and keeps asking me what’s wrong with the dog, or calls it the sad dog! I’m pretty sure there’s no lack of emotional intelligence in this girl – she even reads stuffed animals emotions!

I love reading what Caroline says. I want to ask what's wrong with outside too.
