Update: Week 2, Part b

These posts were getting a little long, so here’s one more to finish it up!

Saturday (4/7): We went to an Easter egg hunt that was hosted by my brother’s church, so we met up with him and his family there. The kids had a blast picking up all the eggs and finding the candy inside. They even had a bouncy house, so Caroline enjoyed getting some energy out!

We got done earlier that we thought, so we took the kids to a nearby park to run around some more before lunch.

We ate lunch back at my parents’ house and put the kids down for naps. Caroline started having some diarrhea, so we were afraid she was getting what my mom had. That night, we made red beans and rice and baked cookies and just stayed home.

Sunday: My mom was still feeling bad and since Caroline was a little sick the day before, Chris stayed home from church with her and my parents. So that left us girls and Luke to head on without them. It was PACKED, so we had to sit up in the balcony and even had to split up. The service was great and we got to visit with some old friends afterwards. We took some pictures when we got home, but Luke was already napping, so I’m glad I took a few of him before church:

I was a little sad that we couldn’t ALL be together at church and Easter lunch, and that we didn’t get to see much of my mom and my brother and his family since my mom was so sick! And Caroline didn’t get to wear her Easter dress for the pictures, but Chris wasn’t dressed either and Luke wasn’t in them anyway. Oh well! Maybe next year – ha! Caroline didn’t have much of an appetite that day, but she didn’t get sick anymore so maybe it was just the candy! But the important thing is that Christ is RISEN and one day we will all be made well and new and all be together with HIM!! Praise the LORD!!

That afternoon, we dropped Sherri off at my brother’s house to visit with them a little. We picked her up a little later and took her to the airport. She was supposed to be flying out that evening around 6, but her flight was delayed and they said it would be a couple of hours late. Then they said it wouldn’t be until the next morning so my sister went back to the airport to get her that night and she flew out early the next morning.

Monday: We loaded up the car early that morning and took my sister to the airport on our way out of town. We had a pretty easy trip with the kids and were SO glad to be back in our own home!

We’ve had a pretty uneventful week this past week, just trying to catch up on laundry and sleep! I couldn’t post all the pictures I wanted to on these LONG posts, so I’ll put them up on picasa. Thanks for hanging in there if you read all these!
