Luke at 10 months

This little man is almost a year old now and this picture is getting harder to take!

Ahh, there’s a decent one, sort of like the other months:

He’s growing like a weed and is about 21 pounds and around 31 inches. He wears mostly 12-month clothes and some 18-month if it’s a one-piece. He wears a size 3 diaper and a size 4 shoe. He is really starting to babble a lot and even says recognizable words such as “dada,” “mama,” “uh-oh” and even said “DeeDee,” which is what the grandkids call my mom. He is a very active little boy, and is very close to walking. He can stand for short periods on his own, cruises around the furniture, and can crawl at lightning speed! He’s been having some rough nights lately and I’m seeing a tooth emerge on the top left that I think is to blame. But the biggest news is that he’s completely weaned!! I nursed him today and he’s taking all soy formula now. I’ve also switched him to a transition sippy cup, one with a soft tip, so no more bottles!

Here’s his schedule (lately): wake up around 7:30-8 and drink 4oz. formula; jar fruit around 9:30, short nap around 11 or 11:30, then another 4oz. (sometimes) around 12:30 before eating a veggie for lunch around 1:30. Then he’ll usually drink 4-6 oz. around 3 before going down for a longer nap, depending on how much he drank earlier. He usually wakes up between 4:30 and 5, then may drink a little more (3-4 oz). He eats a baby food dinner and fruit at 6, then 6oz at 8 before going to bed. Then I dream feed him another 6-8oz. at 11 before I go to bed.

We’re really loving this little guy and what joy he brings to our family!!
