We went back to Jackson for Thanksgiving again this year because my Dad was turning 90 the next week and it worked out for everyone to be there to celebrate early. The trip over was the best yet for the kids, which may have been partly due to having 2 iPads ;). Anyway, we arrived Tuesday evening to get settled and rested before everyone else arrived on Wednesday. That day was my sister Beverly’s birthday and we celebrated after dinner with cake, which the kids were really excited about!
The girls had lots of fun playing together:
And Luke was content to wipe the kids table:
The sisters all back together :)
And we tried to get a pic of all the cousins:
Then the next day was Thanksgiving and we had a feast!
Aunt Beverly was a great sport and the kids had fun with her:
We did a little shopping on Thursday night but it was crazy! We did more on Friday and it was much better. That morning we went over to my brother’s house and let the kids play some more while we chatted. Then Friday night we all went to Picadilly to set up for the big surprise party for my dad. He was SO surprised! It was great to have all his friends and family at his favorite place!
Daddy, above, saying “HALLELUJAH!” just like on his cake :)
Way to many pics to post so check the rest out at: https://picasaweb.google.com/108544087006958694038/Thanksgiving2013?noredirect=1
And don’t forget to look for the animated ones!
Then Saturday, we did a little Christmas exchange that morning as some were leaving town. Then that afternoon we watched the most exciting Iron Bowl EVER!! WAR EAGLE!!! What a great ending to a fun week!
