33 weeks

This week Caroline is over 4 pounds and has likely passed the 17-inch mark. She's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and her skeleton is hardening. The bones in her skull aren't fused together yet, allowing her to squeeze through the birth canal. Those bones won't entirely fuse together until early adulthood. Her fingernails now reach the end of her fingertips and may even curl over the tip.

Tonight we had our last childbirth class, which was actually just a tour of the hospital. It was very informative as we found out exactly where to go and saw the rooms we'd be in for labor & delivery and postpartum as well as the nursery.

At my doctor's appointment last week, it was a little disappointing because I didn't get to see my doctor but only her nurse practitioner. She was nice and measured me (I don't think she did it right b/c she said I was measuring the same as 2 weeks ago) and asked if I had any questions (I did but wanted to ask my doctor), but it just wasn't the same. Oh well, I'll go back in 10 days and I can just ask then.

Not much else is new, just looking forward to my 2nd shower this weekend in B'ham :)

Hey! I've heard so much about people not getting to see their doctors. That is so crazy to me -- I saw my doc EVERY time. She was with me every step of the way and there was such a security in that, but God has given us amazing medical personnel and I pray that you can trust the ones who are caring for you. I know how you feel in wanting to ask your doctor, though. That's normal. Excited for your shower! :)
