Mattress, mail, movies, and meltdowns

Since Chris had to study all weekend, I decided to do a little shopping and while I was out decided to pick up my crib mattress so at least I'd have something to put my bedding on :) Here's a picture of how it looks all sad and on the floor, but I really like the way the bedding turned out:

Also to console myself about not having the crib, I ordered this CUTE diaper bag with Caroline's name on it and I LOVE the way it turned out:

This week, Caroline is still gaining weight quickly (about half a pound each week!) and she could grow up to another full inch this week (making her somewhere around 17-19 inches)! With that much baby inside, the amniotic fluid level will max out this week, which explains why some of her pokes and kicks feel pretty sharp lately (there's less fluid to cushion the blows). Antibodies are being passed from me to her as she continues to develop her own immune system.

I think Chris would agree with me that I haven't been moody or especially emotional since I've been pregnant except for the occasional crying spell (for no apparent reason but that I just needed to cry). Well, here's what happened Saturday night:
Some of you may know that I don't really like sad movies, but if I do see one that's sad (like "The Notebook"), I might get teary-eyed, but I've never cried over a movie. Well, we rented "The Secret Life of Bees" this weekend and let's just say I BOO-HOOed! I mean sobbed! Poor Chris was just looking at me like, "What in the world?! Must be those hormones!" Well, it was definitely the hormones. I mean, it was a sad movie, but I think I could have handled it before.

No childbirth class this week for Spring Break, next week we'll have the hospital tour. My next doctor's appointment is Wednesday, so I'll write an update on that. Happy Spring Break!

What precious bedding and diaper bag! I'm excited for you! Poor you with the movie cry. The hormones can get to the most stable of us. It's good you could let it out... :)
