Long Weekend

Since Chris and I had Friday off of work, it was a good time to catch up on some zzz's and get stuff done around the house. I busied myself putting together a swing and stroller for baby Caroline:

And we put the pack-n-play in our room to make way for the crib (whenever it decides to show up) in the nursery.

Then during the afternoon, we had strong thunderstorms and then HAIL (you can see the warnings on the TV behind me in the stroller pic). Chris loves storms and took these pictures:
First it just rained really hard:

Then there was small hail:

Then it really started coming down harder and bigger:

And here's some hail accumulating on the lawn:

And then an hour later the skies were blue and it was a bright, sunny day! You would never have known we had such strong storms!

Later that evening, Chris and I decided to do dinner and a movie which we NEVER do, but figured we'll really never get to once Caroline is born. So we went to Ruby Tuesday's and then over to Monaco, the theater at Bridge Street. Chris had gotten us tickets to see the movie "Knowing" up in the "Prive" balcony seats. I had never even been to the fairly new theater, much less ever sat up in the balcony, so I was pumped! Well, we got about half-way through the movie and the green screen of death popped up. Someone yelled, "Oh no!," which was hilarious after everyone was on-edge from the climactic part of the movie. So we sat there for about 10 minutes (!) while they "fixed the problem" and all the while we're thinking, "This is why we never go to the movies at the theater." ***Spoiler Warning***Then it turned out to have one of those alien endings where everyone dies except a few who go off to an alien planet, which doesn't appeal to me AT ALL, but for the most part it was an okay movie.

Today we've just hung around the house, getting the upstairs bedroom ready for family to stay when Caroline is born. I'll have pictures of that final product soon. Chris is playing tennis tonight since 2 of his other matches got rained out!
Tomorrow we're celebrating Easter with a potluck lunch with friends after church, so that should be fun! Hope everyone has a Blessed Easter - He is Risen!! PTL!!

Good thinking going to the movies before Caroline is born. David and I definitely haven't been to see a movie in the past 7 months! ;o)
