Yesterday was a great day to be Irish! We all donned our green shirts and headed downtown for the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade. We met up with some friends and set up along the square to watch the floats (and other unusual um, individuals) go by:
The girls had fun watching the parade, but Caroline got a little scared of the loud noises from the fire trucks and sports cars.
It was such a nice day that we tried to take some pictures of the kids afterwards. Caroline wasn’t really feeling it and she had spit milk all over Luke during the parade when she got scared and upset, so he was all broken out on his face. But we managed to get a couple:
We ate lunch with our friends after the parade and pictures, then headed home for naps. We had a fun day, but Caroline was up most of the night with a stomach bug :(. She’s been pretty pitiful all day, but finally perked up a little this evening. We’re hoping she’s on the mend and no one else gets sick!
In other news, we’ve got Luke’s appointment with the allergist on the 27th, so I’m anxious to see what they say. I’ve been giving him soy formula mixed with my milk and he was taking it well. Then he just started refusing it or just taking 2 or 3 ounces at a time. Of course, he wasn’t getting enough during the day and started waking up at night again, even with a dream feed. I’ve tried different combinations and temperatures and bottles/cups and I just don’t know what else to do! I think he might be getting some new teeth, so hopefully that’s all it is and he’ll start drinking again soon!
