What a week! We saw a house come on the market Sunday night, went to see it on Monday during lunch and again that evening, then made an offer on it Tuesday!
Then I had 2 doctor appointments, the kids got summer colds and were feeling bad and cranky, and Chris had a crazy week at work with a big deadline at the end of the week so he was working late! On top of all that, I accidently gave Luke some peanuts and he had an allergic reaction! He broke out in hives and his face swelled a little. It was mild, fortunately, and Benadryl helped him feel better after about an hour. Thankfully no ER visit with the kids by myself!
We’ve taken our old house off the market and put it on the rental market, hoping that we can keep from losing so much money selling it for so little, especially while the market isn’t good and the Chinese drywall stigma is still strong.
We really like “our” new house – it has a GREAT backyard, like a park! And the location is great and the price was great! The house needs a little work, and I’m sure will be a work-in-progress for the next few years, but we like it too! Here are a few pics:
At the end of this crazy week, we went to the Athens Kiddie Carnival with some friends. The kids loved it last year and we were looking forward to taking them back this year. We thought Luke would enjoy it more this year since he is a little older, but he was cranky and only wanted to ride the cars:
We tried putting him in the swings since he usually loves to swing, but he wasn’t having it! Then he wanted to ride the Ferris Wheel with the big girls, so we let him. He was ok for a minute, but then started crying when it went higher and Caroline was making it rock. But after a few more minutes, he stopped crying and actually enjoyed it! Success!
Caroline loved the swings, Ferris wheel, carousel, rocket ship, cars, roller coaster, everything!
We’ll definitely have to go back again this year before we move farther away from it!
