Little Sweet Pea is now about three inches long and the size of a peach! No wonder I'm getting a little round! Until now, the baby's intestines have been growing inside the umbilical cord, but now they're moving to their permanent home in the abdomen. The placenta is also growing and weighs about an ounce now. Also developing this week are the vocal cords.
I've been feeling about the same lately, just a little nauseous at night. Yesterday however, I didn't eat my breakfast soon enough and had to run to the sink! I had felt fine and was just about to eat (I had my cereal poured and was about to add the milk) and the feeling came on me all of a sudden! So I further emptied my empty stomach and then had to eat my cereal and go to work. I felt fine afterward, but it was just one of those mornings. Maybe this is a sign that Sweet Pea will be demanding about food as a baby! I'm just ready for the 2nd trimester to begin after next week!
