Then Friday we all headed to Atlanta for one of their cousin’s wedding. The trip over was uneventful – we even made it all the way there without stopping! That was a miracle! We visited with family at the hotel for a bit, then we took the kids and went out to eat and then to the mall while everyone else went to the rehearsal dinner. Here the kids are in their matching outfits made by Gigi (Chris’ mom):
The next morning we all went to breakfast then headed over to Chris’ aunt’s house to see his grand-dad and other family. We had a short visit, then went back to the hotel so Luke could nap. He ended up napping in the car so we just picked everyone up and went on to lunch. Then we went back to the hotel and let the kids swim in the pool. Caroline was a little scared at first, but she enjoyed it after a little coaxing. Luke LOVED it and just laughed and kicked and splashed with delight!
Then we got everyone bathed and ready to go to the wedding. We were hoping to squeeze in naps while we were getting ready, but that didn’t happen. Luke did sleep on the way there, and I waited with him in the car until the wedding started and then we met up with the rest of the family. The wedding was beautiful and was held in the front yard of Chris’ aunt’s home. The kids even sat still and quiet through the whole ceremony – a miracle!! We forgot our camera in the midst of all the craziness, but took a few shots with our phone and got some from others.
The reception was a little crazy with 2 kids! It was a sit-down dinner with loud music – at least no one could hear them screaming or crying! We made it through dinner and left before they cut the cake to get back to the hotel for bed time. Then Sunday we visited with family over breakfast at their aunt’s house before heading back home. Caroline had fun playing with her cousin Jonathan:
We had a bit of a longer drive home with several stops for the kids and lunch, but we made it just in time for naps. After dinner, Chris cut and watered the grass and Caroline had fun playing in the sprinkler:
We were sad to see Carrye leave the next day, but had tons of fun with her:
