We celebrated Caroline’s birthday last night after dinner just with our family of four. I had put up a few decorations that we’ll move outside for her party this weekend. I thought her bubble birthday banner came out pretty cute:
We had made some cookies and cupcakes for school the night before, so I got her to help me put icing on one for her. Then we lit a candle and sang to her and she blew it out all by herself! She dove right in:
Luke enjoyed his animal crackers and rice cakes since he couldn’t eat the dairy-filled cupcakes:
Then it was time for presents!
My mom had gotten her a bunch of clothes, so she sent her a sweet card and this cute bracelet. She loved it!
We gave her a princess puzzle and a few other little things:
But she was really excited about the trains!
She wasn’t really feeling a picture by the banner since it was bedtime and she hadn’t taken a nap that day with all the excitement! But I managed to get one:
Then today at school, her class had their end-of-the-year program with a little concert and parent lunch. Caroline was too shy to sing up on stage with her class, but she did do a few of the hand motions. We had fun watching all the kids and had a good lunch together.
It was a little sad to think that tomorrow is her last day of school this year. We all have loved her teachers – they’ve been so sweet and friendly and patient! We’ll miss them!
