The big day finally came!! Caroline’s birthday party was yesterday morning in our back yard and she had a great time with her friends (and so did we!). We had the food and drinks out on the patio:
And lots for the kids to do out in the yard: Chris’ parents got Caroline a water table and the kids LOVED playing in it!
We rented a bouncy house (that unfortunately was delivered over an hour late and was wet!) and the kids had fun jumping around:
We also set up a big tub full of bubble liquid (dish soap, water, and corn syrup) with big wands for the kids to use:
I had planned to use our kiddie pool for this, but thought the kids might try to climb in it and get all wet; I used this deep tub instead and it worked great! Another thing we had was a bubble machine that put out LOTS of bubbles - it was so pretty as they filled the yard in the breeze!
After the kids played for a while, it was time for cupcakes! We all sang and Caroline prepared to blow out the candle on the top cupcake:
Unfortunately, the wind blew it out before she could, but it tasted good all the same!
We were planning to open presents later, but after a few people left, we decided it would be easier with a smaller group. She got lots of cute things and was so excited!
My parents couldn’t be here since they will be coming in two weeks for Luke’s birthday, but here are some family shots with Chris’ side:
Thanks SO much to Jenny for taking all these pictures for us!
It was so much fun with friends and family, celebrating our sweet girl’s 3rd birthday!
